Unused Feelings

Floating above the spring's gentle breeze
I imagine the little things I've been lead to believe
How confessing true love must be thought of, not once, but again
"You can't tell her the truth, she'd be scared off by ten!"

My heart dreams of Utopia,
Where there isn't a rule
Professing your soul will never leave you a fool

So, I sit there beside her
...in the background, a choir...
I tell her my feelings
...that we are one, not two, beings...

And I gave her my all,
My every list fiber totally spent...

When my stomach stars falling...
...an endless decent...
Past the the blues of euphoria,
To the greys of suburbia...

I never had to take her to the depths of heaven
To avoid all the simple things that were destined to happen
If I tell her the truth, lay my heart on the table...
...the balls in her court to be a curse or an angel
