I’m waiting on a resolution
…I’ll be here when it comes
Not sure how it evolves
…unsure of where I belong
Lone stranger clinging to the wall
Holding tight to avoid the inevitable fall
Take a chance and make it work
…you’ll find the answers when you never look
It’s hard to see the answer
…when my eyes are closed
I’ll trust you to lead me
…I won’t be lost this time…
…I’ll try…
Can you believe…
…the lies you’ve been spewing...
…when your hands are crossed?
I know I’m afraid
But I cannot be waiting forever…
…when forever doesn’t end…
Standing by the bus stop
Waiting for the next chance…
…Destination: No Where…
I know that I’m waiting, but I can’t wait long this time…
I’ll try

Is this what you'd thought it'd be?
Surrounded by the deafening echoes of silence
I wonder where the path began, and ends
It's too soon to realize the trail of my errors
Not too late to make a world worth living
Tracing the clouds in the sky
Passing by in a pink sea of crayons
Haven't heard the rumble of oak tag for years
Awakens the lost soul of who I was
Is this what you'd thought it'd be?
Are you where you think you belong?
Do you have faith in what you believe in...
...Or do you live in fear of what you don't?
I sail the ocean powder blue,
I sing in every art house...
I write each day before I sleep,
I love each love I'm in love with
I smile when I see the sun
When I wake to rub yesterday out of my eyes
Each day a chance to see the world
Through a view no one else can master
Is this what you'd thought it'd be?
Are you where you think you belong?
Do you have faith in what you believe in...
...Or do you live in fear of what you don't?
For everything in the world today,
I'm happiest when I have the least to say
Washed in a sea of eternity
...cleansed myself from all my uncertainty...
...to trust the man I can truly be
I have faith in the man in the mirror...
...and trust fate to come through and deliver
I wonder where the path began, and ends
It's too soon to realize the trail of my errors
Not too late to make a world worth living
Tracing the clouds in the sky
Passing by in a pink sea of crayons
Haven't heard the rumble of oak tag for years
Awakens the lost soul of who I was
Is this what you'd thought it'd be?

Fleeting
Listen to me watch your heart beat in the mirror…
I wish I could see you with my own eyes
But I share the view with the masses
These moments…
…though they’re fleeting…
…they are the ones that are worth keeping…
Sometimes I wish I had the courage to say to you, “You’re perfect”
…your simple grace comes from the shy smile on your face…
It’s funny how the things you don’t show
…are the things everyone else is dying to know…
Seeing your eyes through someone else’s guise…
…I’ll know then, for sure, where my true love lies
I love to hear you at my jokes
Your laugh stays with me ‘til I sleep
You’re the one I can envision curled next to me
As we stride together and make history
I sit here writing, dreaming of “What if?”
Pining over another chance soon fading away
…wishing my heart will never lead me astray
I wish I could see you with my own eyes
But I share the view with the masses
These moments…
…though they’re fleeting…
…they are the ones that are worth keeping…
Sometimes I wish I had the courage to say to you, “You’re perfect”
…your simple grace comes from the shy smile on your face…
It’s funny how the things you don’t show

Seeing your eyes through someone else’s guise…

Pining over another chance soon fading away
…wishing my heart will never lead me astray
