Next Train to Tokyo...

I guess I’m confused with where we’ve been
…and where we’re going…
I look at you with wonder in the silence of the moment
…we share together…
What began in darkness becomes apparent in the light
…the little sounds of summer make each question seem just right…

Sittin’ on the corner, strumming the air…
Living life ain’t easy when you have a cross to bear
It’s hard to leave things be, when you’re wound up like a top
As my mind gets racing, it’s hard to tell it when to stop
It’s hard to get excited when I wear my heart out on my sleeve
Grab the next train to Tokyo, make a new life on the scene

Sleepwalker… in the middle of the night
Trying to find the riddles, to make the answers less amiss
Take my stride upright through the hallway
…all my awakened apprehension displaced…
Life’s so easy when you’re sleeping…
…there’s not a moment you can miss...
